Truesdail is one of America's most sophisticated and highly respected drug detection laboratories in the world. Every year, our chemists analyze 70,000 to 80,000 biological fluids for the presence and identification of drugs. We work closely with several racing commissions, fairs, and expositions testing horses, sheep, hogs, cattle, and dogs for the presence of drugs. Testing protects the health of the animals and the integrity of races and contests.

We are committed to improving our ability to detect new drugs of abuse. We work closely with the, Association of Official Racing Chemists (AORC), Association of Racing Commissioners International, Inc. (ARCI), California Department of Food and Agriculture, California Horse Racing Board, University of California at Davis, University of Kentucky, Ohio State University, and Cornell University. As a result, Truesdail is a driving force in the application of new technology for the drug testing industry.

In addition to testing for the presence of drugs, Truesdail analyzes tablets, capsules, eye drops, ointments, creams, and other proprietary pharmaceutical products for contamination, purity, and potency. Government agencies, lawyers, doctors, and veterinarians have used our services for many years.

Truesdail employs both internal and external quality control programs to establish our status as a first class drug testing laboratory. We give you the confidence that comes with our reputation for excellence.

Truesdail is a founding member of the Association of Official Racing Chemists (AORC) (1947) and we participate in the Testing Integrity Program (TIP), which is funded by the Association of Racing Commissioners International (RCI), QA programs. Both of these organizations provide several specimens to our laboratory each year to monitor our proficiency to detect drugs.

Truesdail Laboratories is pleased to announce ISO/IEC GUIDE 17025 accreditation. Please see a copy of our certificate and our scope of accreditation in the certification section of our website.

We have accreditation for all the major types of testing being done by most equine and canine drug testing laboratories, thin layer chromatography, immunoassay, direct instrumental screening by both GC/MS and LC/MS, specific gravity, TCO2, confirmations by GC/MS and LC/MS, and HPLC (for NSAIDS and furosemide). We are also approved to test materials seized at the racetracks. We have made diligent efforts to employ the latest methods and equipment, and to provide a Quality Assurance program that insured reliable results. We are now very pleased to be able to assure our clients that Truesdail operations have been audited by third party experts and has been found to be in compliance with rigorous international standards for laboratory competence.
