Reasons to Get Certified

Would you like to increase customer confidence in your products? Would certification to ANSI, or other recognized standards, improve customer confidence?

Get a jump on your competition. In our litigious society you have to ensure your products comply with industry performance and safety standards. For many large stores and manufacturers buyers and risk managers often demand that vendors supply third-party testing data on the performance of their products. Participation in a certification program will allow you to position yourself ahead of the market, and have more confidence in the performance and safety of your product.

Truesdail Laboratories can test your products to applicable ANSI (and other accepted standards) and provide a Certificate of Compliance as well as a Certification Mark.

Third-Party Certification

For over 65 years, Truesdail Laboratories has been providing "third party" independent testing of products, materials, and environmental samples. We have approvals from several organizations including the AIHA, EPA, FDA, the California Department of Public Health, the California Air Resources Board and more.

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has developed a program (ANSI Z34.1-199x et. al.) to accredit a third-party product certification program. This program allows organizations to certify products as meeting defined ANSI (and other) specifications. To be accredited, certifying organizations must undergo a formal evaluation process and thorough on-site audit, and must comply with the requirements of IEC/ISO Guide 65 for Certifying Organizations.

On January 3, 1997, the ANSI "Standards Action" published notice of the approval of Truesdail Laboratories' certification program. The ANSI program requires an inspection be made of the entire production and quality control program, and an on-going testing program be established before a formal certification is issued.

Certification Marks

ANSI requires that organizations accredited to do certification have an official certification mark. That is, registered with the US Patent office.

Truesdail Laboratories' certification mark:

------------------------------------------------------------

MEETS ANSI SPECIFICATIONS

This Model of (your product) has been tested by Truesdail Laboratories and found to meet the requirements of ANSI XXX.YYY-zz (2007)

--------------------------------------------------------------

ANSI permits products that are certified by independent certifying organizations and their packaging to bear the mark of certification along with text that defines the specifications being met.

Would the marketability of your product be improved with a seal like this on it or its packaging?
